Betty McCray Obituary

Betty R. McCray, 91, of Kokomo, passed away at 5:43 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022, at North Woods Village in Kokomo. She was born October 13, 1930, in South Bend, to John and Helen (Kaman) Langel. On June 4, 1948, she married LaVern McCray, in South Bend, and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2015.

Betty was a devoted wife and mother. She loved word search puzzles, gospel music and reading the Bible.

Survivors include her children, Keith (Margaret) McCray, Charmaine (Tom) Vogel, Mike (Brenda) McCray and Colleen (Gary) Trapp; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and son, Timothy McCray.

In keeping with her wishes, no public services will be held. Cremation has been entrusted to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home in Kokomo. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
