Barbara (Williamson) Thomas

Barbara Thomas, 83, Kokomo, formerly of Peru, passed away at 6:35 am Friday, December 28, 2018, at Angela Hospice Care Center in Michigan. She was born June 11, 1935, in Steubenville, OH, the daughter of the late Alan & Mildred (Felgar) Williamson.  On August 11, 1962 at the Holy Ghost Church in McKees Rocks, PA, she married Eugene Thomas who preceded her in death on May 19, 2007. 

Barbara grew up in Follansbee, WV.  She worked for Wheeling Steel Corporation, and in reception for various medical and dental offices in Kokomo.  Barbara was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, Kokomo Widow to Widow, United Methodist Women, and Community First Travel Club.

Barbara is survived by her sons, Bob Thomas, Plymouth, Michigan, and Gary Thomas, Kentucky; grandchildren, Elena Thomas, Jayden Thomas, Ethan Thomas, Noah Thomas, and Megan Thomas; and brother-in-law, Timothy Thomas, San Francisco.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Duane Carlisle officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11-1 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to Main Street UMC.
