Barbara L. Desoto

Barbara L. Desoto, 58, Kokomo, passed away at 7:42 pm on Friday June 17, 2022, at Community Howard Regional Health.  The daughter of the late Alvis and Sharon (Wyant) Bray, she was born on January 31, 1964.  On November 25, 2000, she married Steven L. Desoto, and he survives. 

Barbara devoted her time to her family and her home.  She loved doing crafts, karaoke, and photography.  She loved trips to Cedar Point with her family as well. 

Along with her husband, Barbara is survived by her children, Corey Staley, Thomas (Amanda) Williams, David (Victoria) Steele Jr., Christina (Charles) Parkhurst and Rhonda Sue Lynn Desoto; grandchildren, Jade Jones, Anakin (Lilli) Cleaver, Aries Jones, Cameron Parkhurst, Zayne Staley, David Steele III, Keith Parkhurst, Mercedes Staley, Angelina Steele, Snow Williams and Siryn Williams; great grandchildren, Darius Brown, Kharsin Baker and Luke Cleaver; siblings, Dawn Gibson, April Racchio, Stan Lechner, Theresa Jones,  David Speight, Billy Bray and Tonya Roehl; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A funeral service will take place at 12 pm on Friday July 1, 2022, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home-Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, with Pastor Mike Alley officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery.
