Anita Kay Hoover Obituary

Anita Kay Hoover passed peacefully on August 25, 2025. She is no longer in her hometown of West Middleton, IN but is home with the Lord. She was born on August 19,1954, to Elmer and Bernice (Harmon) Ryan. She graduated from Western High School in 1973. She married Billy Hoover in 1982 and had two daughters, Elizabeth and Emily. She was a homemaker who came from a loving family where gatherings and reunions were the hallmark of her joy. Anita was a lifelong member of the West Middleton United Methodist Church. She had a true heart for children, taking care of them in her home and serving as a teacher in the church nursery.

She enjoyed reading, cooking, country music, soap operas, ice cream, sitting in the sunshine, holidays and visiting with Tennessee family. She was a proud Mamaw to her three grandsons who were her greatest joy. She loved being an Aunt Nita and Nana to countless loved ones. Anita faithfully attended Sunday School and would request prayer and express joy for her family and those she loved weekly, mentioning all by name. She was moved by music and hymns that would bring her closer to Christ. Anita loved to laugh and have friends and family around playing games and enjoying fellowship.

Anita’s legacy is carried on by her beloved husband of forty-three years, Billy Hoover and two daughters, Elizabeth Fulk (Auston), Emily Hoover and three treasured grandchildren, Connor, Owen and Elijah, brother-in-law, Mark Hoover (Michelle) and nephew, nieces, great nieces, great nephew and cousins who will forever cherish the memories they shared together.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents and devoted sister Shirley Crites.

Anita left an irreplaceable mark on the lives of those who loved her and her memory is forever in our hearts.
