Anita R. (Rogers) Harris

Anita R. Harris, 86, Kokomo, passed away at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday September 25, 2019, at her home.  She was born June 17, 1933 in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Leonard R. & Emma (Robbins) Rogers.  On August 3, 1953, she married C. Bud Harris and he survives.

Anita was a 1951 graduate of Kokomo High School.  She worked for Delco Electronics and was a homemaker who enjoyed reading and was very committed to her family.  Anita was co-owner of B & B Motors.

Along with her husband Bud, Anita is survived by her children, Leonard “Peanut” (Anna) Harris, Debra (Dave) Tucker, Anthony (Terri) Harris, Cynthia (Mark) Gilett, Dennis (Joyce) Harris, Brian (Paula) Bitner, and Robert (Letty) Bitner; along with 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters, Susie (Sam) Quillin, and Mabel Wagner.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11-1 pm Thursday at the funeral home.  Stout & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
