Richard Lee Lemons

Richard Lee Lemons, 67, Kokomo, died at 7:28 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1941, the son of James Lemons and Ruby (Guest) Lemons Sr. He married Jean (Lytle) on Aug. 10, 1963. They divorced and he later married Mildred "Marlene" (Slavey) on Oct. 10, 1981 and they divorced. Both Jean and Marlene survive.

He had worked at Cuneo Press, Jamie's Soda Fountain, and K-Mart

Survivors include two sons, Scott (Ashley) Lemons and Todd Lemons; one daughter, Michelle (Chris) Fogerty; two brothers, Joe (Betty) Lemons and Kenny (Pam) Lemons; one sister, Suzie (Lloyd) Clark ; grandchildren Ashley, Christian, James "C.J.," Shane Richter, Kristan Lemons, Brooklynn Lemons, Abigaile, Cameron, Gage Lemons, Logan, Bradley, Allyson, Baylee Fogerty; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Brian Lee Lemons, two sisters, Myrtle Mae Lemons and Betty Sue Lemons; and three brothers, Bob Lemons, James Lemons Jr. and Jack Lemons.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, 2009 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home Lincoln Road Chapel, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Father Richard Lightsey officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for final expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
