Judith “Judy” Joan Fox, 79, Kokomo, passed away at 2:18 pm Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at her home. She was born November 30, 1938, in Indianapolis, IN.  She was the daughter of the late John S. & Rosella (Rogers) Buckley.  On September 4, 1964, she married Donald L. Fox, who preceded her in death on January 4, 2014.

Judy was a 1956 graduate of Eastern High School. She retired from General Motors after 30 years of service.  After retirement, Judy worked at Kohl’s Department Store in the jewelry department.  She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church in Kokomo, and New Hope Presbyterian Church in Fishers, where she served as deacon.

Judy was a member of the Red Hat Society in The Villages, Florida.  She golfed and bowled on many different leagues.  Judy loved to crochet, paint and do crafts.  She was active in her church, in the past, by teaching children’s Sunday school, adult Bible study, and teaching the children’s message during the service. Judy was active in the Bunko Club in Florida, and card clubs in Kokomo, especially playing Euchre monthly with her girlfriends.  She loved to travel to Mexico, England, France and Ireland.

Judy is survived by her children, David P. Fox, Michael D. Fox, Holly K. (Tim) Pierce, and Bradley J. (Candice) Fox; grandchildren, Aubrey Fox, Jason (Jen) Fox, Joshua Fox, Kyle Pierce, Jessica Fox, Kathleen Pierce, Haley Fox, Bradley J. Fox II, Shelbey Fox, and Zoey Fox; great-grandchildren, Mikayla Fox, Christian Niebel, and Mason Fox; siblings, John Frederick (Janet) Buckley, Jack (Sharron) Buckley, Jef (Cheryl) Buckley, Janna (Larry) Hyman, and Jada (Gary) Haun; and sister-in-law, Nancy Buckley, along with serveral nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents; husband; siblings, Barbara Ann Buckley, and Joseph Buckley; and nephew, John Adam Hyman.

The family would like to thank Southern Care Hospice and the staff, especially Rita, Kasey, Terri, and Nicole for their compassion and exceptional care of Judy and her family during her illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Rev. John Frederick Buckley officiating.  Burial will follow in Albright Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12-2 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to Southern Care Hospice.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com

Condolence to the Family & Friends of Judith Fox,
There are few experiences more difficult than losing a loved one in death. As you cherish the many fond memories of Mrs. Fox, reflect on the time when aging..., sickness..., death... and mourning will be no more. (Revelation 21:3,4; 1Corinthians 15: 26) This is what our loving God Jehovah has promised and Jesus himself guaranteed the hope of seeing our loved ones again by means of the resurrection. (John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15; Isaiah 26:19)
May God’s word bring you comfort during this difficult time and in the days ahead as we await the fulfillment of his promises.......

Classmate, neighbor, friend, she was all of those. She was sincere, funny and serious. Very talented and productive in all that she did. Very accomplished. She made her family and friends proud to have known her. My memories of her will be forever. Blessings to the family.
