Bobbie Nell Gillard-Collins, 78, Kokomo, passed away at her home, on September 28, 2018.  She was born November 8, 1939, in Ripley, Mississippi to the late Garfield and Vancie (Edgeston) Gillard. 

Bobbie attended Falkner High School in Falkner, Mississippi.  She Joined Bethlehem Baptist Church in Faulkner, Mississippi at an early age and gave her life to Jesus.  She continued her fellowship with Christ and the church by joining Mount Sinai Baptist Church, as well as, Second Missionary Baptist Church where her church membership remains today.  In 1962, she moved to Kokomo, where she was first employed at Grissom Air Force Base.  She began her career with Delco Electronics in 1974, until her retirement in September of 1999.  In the summer of 1967, she met Charlie Junior Collins.  They were married later that year on October 27, 1967.  In 1970, she moved from Broadway Street to E. Dixon where she continued to reside until her departure on September 28, 2018. 

Bobbie leaves to cherish her loving memories, her husband, Charlie J. Collins; children, Ray A. (Stephanie) Collins, and Patricia A. Collins; grandchildren, Alexis R. Collins, Christian I. (Chelsea) Collins, Anthony R. Collins, Lauryn H. Collins, Cameron K. Collins, and Braylon L. Collins, along with 3 great-grandchildren and 1 due in December; siblings, Nellie H. (Rondy) Patterson, and Gregory A. Gillard; foster brothers, Ronnie Duke, and Levester Norman; sister-in-law, Bonnie J. (Carter) Gillard, Delores Hawkins, and Doris Westin; aunts, Madeline Gillard Young, and Dorothy Edgeston (Bails), and a host of nieces, and  nephews; cousin, Bessie Johnson; and including several cherished friends. 

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; and 1 sister.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Second Missionary Baptist Church, 819 N. Apperson Way, Kokomo, with Pastor Shane Ranier officiating.  Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-8 pm Thursday at the church.  Stout & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com
