Jerry Lee (Huff) Gabriel passed away at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 12, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Tipton. She was born July 9, 1941, in Indianapolis, to Bill and Evelyn (Crawford) Huff.  She married the love of her life, James Gabriel, on March 5, 1960, and he preceded her in death on October 9, 1989.  They were married for 28 years, and she never got over his loss.

Her hobbies included traveling and painting.

She is survived by her three children, Julie (Ron) Blunck, Jamie (Tom) Moulder, and Mike (Susie) Gabriel; grandchildren, Courtney (Josh) Miles, Colton (Kara) Moulder, Lorie (Josh) Camp, Zack Gabriel, Corbin Moulder and fiancé Lauren Phifer, Chaz Gabriel, Seth Blunck, Addy Gabriel, and Cowen Moulder; great-grandchildren, Tyler Blunck, Lydia Camp, Jericho Camp, and Emmielou Miles; one sister, Sherry (Huff) Watson; and two sisters-in-law, Janet Gabriel and Sandy Huff.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Evelyn Huff; brother, Bill Huff; and two brothers-in-law, Roy Watson and John Gabriel.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all the staff and to Cassie and Tosha and all her special girls whom she loved very much at Millers Merry Manor.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017, Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville, with Pastor Jeff Harlow officiating.  Burial will follow in Tetersburg Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Miller’s Merry Manor Activity Fund.  Messages of condolence may be expressed online at

I was sorry to learn of your mother's passing. I know how hard it is to lose parents and my memories of Jerry were all positive. Praying for all of you as you mourn her loss and cling to precious memories.

I just learned of your mother's passing & was so saddened to read about it. I'm very sorry for your loss. I'm sorry I didn't know in time to come & pay my respects to you & your family in person. Please accept my sincerest apologies. I have a lot of fond memories growing up & spending the night at your house. Your mom was a wonderful woman!
