Ethel Marie Rudd 87, of Flora passed away at 8:00am Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital of Kokomo. Ethel was born June 30, 1929 in Howardsville, MO to Lee and Lillie (Lewis) Mims.  She married Byron “Gene” Rudd on September 21, 1949. He preceded her in death on June 1, 2014. Ethel was Homemaker, and for a few years worked at Essex Wire in Flora. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, and gardening.

Survivors include her children; Jeannie (Roger) Pierson of Fort Wayne, Sondra (Jimmy) Busch of Peru, Wayne (Shelia) Rudd of Kokomo, Danny Rudd of Flora, Mark (Michelle) Rudd of New London, and Vicki (Ron) Moody of Caruthersville MO, 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, brothers; Wesley Mims of Kokomo, Leslie Mims of Dexter, MO, and Raymond Mims of Marston, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons; Ronald G. Rudd, Leroy Rudd, Greg Rudd, along with 2 sisters, and 6 brothers.

Services will be at 11:00am Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Stout & Son Funeral Home Neptune Chapel 44 West Michigan St. Burlington with Pastor Steve Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery in Logansport, IN. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00pm – 8:00pm at the Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 9, 2017. Contributions may be made to Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses. Online condolences may be left at
