Larry L. “Hammy” Hamilton, 75, Forest, passed away at 3:23 am on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in his home.  He was born September 6, 1941, in Bloomfield, IN.  He was the son of Floyd & Geraldine (Chipman) Hamilton.  On July 8, 1960, at West Point Christian Church, he married Judy A. Hill.

Larry was a 1959 graduate of Western High School.  He retired from Chrysler Corp. as a Tool & Die maker after 32 years of service.  He worked as a mechanic superintendent for Green Acres for 20 years and prior to that he was a farmer for 10 years for the Hill family.  Larry was a member of West Point Christian Church where he served as Deacon, Elder, and Treasurer.  He was also a former member of the Russiaville Lions Club.  He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, woodworking, and was an avid Indiana University fan. 

Larry is survived by his wife, Judy Hamilton, Forest; children, Lee Ann (Kevin) Redding, Russiaville, Connie (Bob) Carter, Russiaville, and Tim (Susan) Hamilton, Spencerville, IN; grandchildren, Dustin (Laura) Redding, Russiaville, Ben Carter, Russiaville, Madison Carter, Russiaville, Clayton Hamilton, Leo, IN, William (Aimee) Fort Wayne, and Lauren Hamilton, Spencerville, IN; great-grandchildren, Rex Redding, and Oliver Redding; step-great-grandchildren, Taylor Marlow, and Lyric Whitman; step-great-great-granddaughter, Avery Marlow; sisters, Elizabeth (Jerry) Clark, Franklin, TN, and Sandy Cline, Russiaville; brothers, Ronnie Hamilton, Kokomo, and Myron (Alice) Hamilton, Murfreesboro, TN.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Ted Hamilton.

Funeral services for Larry will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 23, 2017, Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Rev. Darren Miracle officiating.  Burial will follow in New London Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 3-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s memory to West Point Christian Church.  Messages of condolence may be left online at
