Cory Adam Bowers 34, of Kokomo passed away at 8:57pm Friday, February 10, 2017 in Kokomo. Cory was born November 15, 1982 in Kokomo,  son of Greg Bowers and Rhonda Grandstaff. He married the former Melissa R. Gile April 23, 2005 whom survives. His daughters were his entire world and he loved spending time with them and his family. He enjoyed camping, attending the Howard County Veterans Reunions every year, playing corn hole, shooting pool, supporting and cheering on  the Colts and proudly serving his country in the U.S. Army.  He served in the U.S. Army from 2008 – 2011. Cory was also a member of the Judson Road Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife Melissa R. Bowers, two daughters Savannah R. Bowers and Mikaylin E. Bowers, his parents Greg Bowers of Indianapolis and Rhonda Grandstaff (Randy) of Kempton, grandparents; Roy and Audrey Bowers, Bill and Betty Dyer, also his grandpa and grandma in-law, Mat and Doris Barber, his mother-in-law Pam Breedlove (Kent), father-in-law Tom Giles (Stacia), sisters Nicole Bowers, Hannah Bowers.
Services will be at 2:00pm Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Stout & Son Funeral Home Neptune Chapel 44 Michigan St. Burlington, IN. with Pastor Brandon Bentch officiating. Burial will follow in Burlington Cemetery with military rites by the U.S. Army and the Kokomo Military Rites team. Visitation will be from 5pm – 8pm Wednesday, February 15, 2017 also at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Education fund for his daughters. Our deepest condolences for the loss of a Husband, father, son. May those who are left behind be comforted that you will be together again. Gods plan for all of us is written we we just have to rejoice in the lives we had with them. Remembering he is in Gods hands.
