Robert (Bob) Record Obituary
Robert (Bob) Wayne Record, 74, passed away Saturday October 13, 2018 at his home. He was born the son of Robert W Record, Sr and Florence G (Ennis) Jones on July 25th 1944 in Kokomo, IN. He married Judith Ann Glover on June 27th, 1964 and she survives him.
Bob graduated from Kokomo High School in 1963 where he also wrestled, finishing second in the state in his weight class. Bob drove semi’s most his life including a number of years driving team with Judi. He retired from Schwerman Trucking in 2002 after being diagnosed with renal failure. He was recipient of the million-mile safe driver award.
During his retirement he enjoyed spending time repairing lawn mowers.
He is survived by his wife, Judi Record, Kokomo; children, Gene (Joy) Record, Kokomo, and Bobby (Karin) Record, Kokomo; Grandchildren, Heather (Josh) Record, Peru, Alexys Record, Lafayette, and Sydney Record, West Lafayette; great grandchild Grayson Dalton Record; brother Greg Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his dad, Ralph Jones; a brother, Randy Jones; great grandchild Keylon Gene Record.
A Requiem Mass will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 at St. Andrew Episcopal Church, 602 W. Superior Street Kokomo, IN, with Father Richard Lightsey. Entombment will follow in the Church Columbarium. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of service. A reception will be held following the service. Memorial contribution may be made to St. Andrew church. Stout and Son Funeral home assisted the family with arrangements. Online Condolence may be left at www.stoutandson.com
