Troy E. Ward

Troy E. Ward, 50, Kokomo, passed away at 8:50 pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.  He was born on October 9, 1964, in Kokomo.  He was the son of William H. Ward & Vickie J. (Nance) Ward-Phillips.  On October 27, 2011, he married Amber J. Brown and she survives.

Troy was self-employed as the owner of Brothers Inc. Construction Company.  He was a member of Fresh Start Ministries, and Kokomo Urban Outreach.  He loved riding his motorcycle and cookouts with family and friends.  He especially loved his grandchildren.

Troy is survived by his wife Amber Ward, Kokomo; mother, Vickie J. Ward-Phillips; children, Lacee (David) Meacham, Peru, Kayla Ward, Kokomo, Nate Ward, Kokomo, Kaitlyn Wasson, Kokomo, Bryce Wasson, Kokomo, Braydon Wasson, Kokomo, Chenoa Rugg, Bunker Hill, Michael Foster, Kokomo, Troy (Amanda)  Ward Jr., Greentown, and Jennifer (Joey) Cooper, Wabash; siblings, Travis Ward, Kokomo, Andrea (Scott) Shaffer, Kokomo, David (Amber) Bell, Kokomo, and Trena (J.D.) Corey, Lafayette; grandmother, Ileene Ward, Kokomo,  along with several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Troy was preceded in death by his father, Bill Ward, grandmother, Ileene Barley, niece, Samantha Ward, and nephew, Zairemy Bell.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday July, 20, 2015, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Chad Collins officiating.  Cremation will follow.  Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 pm until service time at the funeral home on Monday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Shirley & Stout Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
