Nancy C. (Pence) Hosier

Nancy C. Hosier 69, passed away at 8:20 pm on November 16, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 27, 1943 in Peru, IN to Ralph and Berniece (Davis) Pence. Nancy married Roland “Ron” Hosier on October 20, 1978 and he passed away on October 20, 2012.

 

Nancy worked at a orthopedic clinic for 20 years and as a medical assistant for 10 years with Indiana Hand Center. She was a 1962 Eastern High School graduate. Nancy was a member of Meridian St. Christian Church in Greentown and attended First Church of Nazarene. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, playing BINGO and attending festivals. 

 

Survivors daughters Tamara L (Christopher) Bowser of Kokomo; sons Michael A. (Cassie) Stater of Forest; sister Janet (Max) Smith of Kokomo; brothers Jerry (Barbara) Pence of Greentown, Larry (Jill) Pence of Kokomo, Ronald (Claudia) Pence of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren Stephanie Stater, Garrett Stater, Jacob Ryan, Makayla Ryan, Logan Hawkins, Tanner Bowser, Savannah Bowser 

 

The family would like to thank the Southern Care Hospice & staff, Dr. Washington, and Dr. Moore for the care they gave their mother. 

 

Funeral services will be at 1 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory Lincoln Road Chapel 1315 W. Lincoln Road in Kokomo with Pastor Paul Sutherland and her nephew Ryan Smith officiating.. Burial will follow at Galveston Cemetery. Friends may call upon the family from 4 to 8 pm on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the funeral home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Stout & Son Funeral Home of Russiaville.
