Jerry worked for Superior Glass and Paint for over 20 years. He owned and operated Quality Paint and Wall Covering for 11 years and owned PJ Decorating.
Jerry had a deep devotion to the Roman Catholic Church and always had Jesus and the blessed Mary with him. He was very active in St. Joan of Arc Church where he served as an usher and was involved with Christ Renews His Parrish teams. Jerry was a proud fourth degree member of the Knights of Columbus and served as an inner guard.
Jerry loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He and his wife Patty enjoyed teaching and dancing. He was a member of several clubs and taught dance in Kokomo, Logansport, Monticello, Indianapolis, Fishers, and Rochester. He also enjoyed fishing, gardening, and playing with his beloved Maltese dogs.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Patty Shutt; a brother, Jack (Carol) Shutt; Two sisters, Nancy (Dan) Ridgeway and Connie (Danny) Jackson; three brother-in-laws, Edward (Ranee) Iseminger, William Iseminger, and John Iseminger; two sister-in-laws, Susan (Donnie) Aaron and Carolyn (Jim) Maish; his mother-in-law, Monterose Iseminger; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and His Father in Law, Edward Iseminger Sr.
The family would like to thank Doctors Becker, Azar, and Kuenzli for their compassionate care. The family would also like to thank the Rev. Fathers Theodore Dudzinski, Andrew Dudzinski, David Hellmann, Rick Nagel, and Father Anthony for their loving care.
A Mass of Christian burial is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Theodore Dudzinski, the Rev. Father Andrew Dudzinski, and the Rev. Father David Hellmann officiating. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery with military rites provided by the Kokomo V.F.W. Military Rites Team. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, Lincoln Road Chapel and one hour prior to mass, Tuesday, at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's name to St. Joan of Arc Church or the Knights of Columbus. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
