Winifred Farwick Obituary

Winifred Farwick, 96, of Russiaville, passed away peacefully at 6:33 pm Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at Wellbrooke of Kokomo.  She was born September 12, 1923, in West Middleton, the daughter of the late Jasper & Opal (Stewart) Miller.  On September 12, 1941, she married Edward Farwick Jr., who preceded her in death on July 30, 1981.

Winifred was a graduate of Russiaville High School and received her master’s degree from Indiana University.  She was a teacher at both Indian Heights Elementary School and Western School Corporation where she retired.  She was also an active member of the Russiaville United Methodist Church.

Winifred is survived by her daughter, Jacquelyn Williams; grandchildren, Phil Williams (Tarah), Michelle (Darin) Hollingsworth, Nicole Williams, and Mike Williams (Alison), along with 10 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, and special caregiver Emma Bontrager.

Winifred was preceded in death by her parents; son and daughter; and a brother and sister.

Private services will be held at Stout & Son Funeral Home.  Private burial will take place in Russiaville Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Winifred Farwick Educations Scholarship at the Community Foundation of Howard County.  Stout & Son Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
