Viola M. "Vie" (Lessig) Miller

Viola M. “Vie” Miller, 95, Kokomo, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Thursday, January 10, 2019, at her home.  She was born August 2, 1923 in Huntington County, the daughter of the late Walter & Edith (Genth) Lessig.  She married Allen Miller on June 20, 1942, in Kokomo, who preceded her in death June 5, 2015. 

Vie retired from Delco Electronics in 1968 after 17 years of service.  She was a member of Alto United Methodist Church.  She was a homemaker who enjoyed canning, gardening, traveling, and bowling. 

Vie is survived by her children, Marlene K. (Paul) Vent, Kokomo, and Rick A. (Amber) Miller, Kokomo; grandchildren, Matthew Vent, Dena Burleson, Paul Allen Vent, Angela Turner, and Shannon Cooprider, along with 7 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Lessig, Edith Miller, and Julie Miller

Vie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sisters, and 1 brother, Noel Lessig. 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, January 14, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo with Pastor Dave Welsh officiating.  Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1-2 pm Monday at the funeral home.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
