Verlon E. Rohrer, 99, Kokomo, passed away Saturday March 16, 2019, at his home. He was born February 1, 1920, in Kokomo, the son of the late Jasper Lee Rohrer and Pearl Lovell (Marlott) Rohrer. On May 18, 1963, in Elwood, he married Mae Elise Spears and she survives.
Verlon was a 1940 graduate of Kokomo High School. He served in several branches of the United States Army Calvary, Signal Corps, Air Force, Tank Division, Air Traffic Controller and Stationed in the Philippines when the war ended. Verlon worked as a Real Estate Salesman under Ray Crume and studied law under Robert Kinsey. He retired from Delco Electronics in 1975.
Along with his wife Elise, Verlon is survived by his step-son, Michael Stevens (Carla) Raquet; step-grandchildren, Michael Eugene Raquet and Lea Ann Jackson; and step-great-grandchildren, Michele and Alex Raquet.
Verlon was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Alva Rohrer, and Ivan Rohrer.
