Thomas “Tom” F. Foster, 81, Bringhurst, passed away at 9:50 am Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at his home. He was born February 7, 1938 to Omar Foster and Mary Tudor in Frankfort, IN. He married Denise Taylor in Burlington, IN, and she survives.
Tom was a 1956 graduate of Lebanon High School. He retired in 1994 from Chrysler after many years of service. He was considered a poker legend, as he played in many tournaments, including Las Vegas and Atlantic City. He was known as “Indiana Scar.” Aside from poker, he was an artist and enjoyed building model airplanes and boats. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Denise, Tom is survived by his children, Lisa (Bob) Foster-Scott, Rena (Tim) Stone, Troy (Tammy) Foster, and Wess Jaecques; grandchildren, Derek Stone, Jenna (Steven) Tkachuk, Jessye (Blake) Richardson, Tory Foster, and Jenny Jaecques; and 10, soon to be 11 great-grandchildren.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Lenora Haag.
