Terri Long Obituary

Terri Ann Long, 67, Russiaville, passed away at 1:16 a.m. on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Kokomo.  She was born October 5, 1952, in Kokomo, to Max and Frances “Dolly” (Miller) Kellar.  On June 28, 1975, she married Thomas E. Long, at Union Street Friends Meeting in Kokomo, and he preceded her in death on August 16, 2014.

Terri graduated from Haworth High School in 1970.  She worked as a route driver for Fed Ex and was one of their first couriers when they opened the Kokomo Distribution Center.  Terri enjoyed crocheting, baking and cooking.  She also enjoyed supporting the Kokomo Humane Society and their events like Barktoberfest.  She volunteered at CAM, was a booster member at the IBN Saud Grotto and filled buddy bags at First Friends Meeting where she was a member.

Survivors include her sons, Thomas Matthew Long and Marcus (Brittany) Long; granddaughter, Laticka Long and several other grandchildren; mother, Dolly Kellar; brother, Kent Kellar; nephews, Adam Kellar and Chad Kellar; and her dogs, Joey and Chewy.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Max Kellar.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Johnathan Newton officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Contributions may be made in Terri’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.  Messages of condolence may be expressed online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
