Susan E. (Samuels) Schaff

Susan E. Schaff, 57, Kokomo, passed away at 1:47 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018, at Community Howard Regional Health in Kokomo.  She was born March 28, 1961, in White County, to Harry E. and Doris M. (Willing) Samuels.

Susan graduated from Taylor High School in 1979 and from Indiana University Kokomo in 2001.  She worked as a case manager for the State of Indiana Department of Child Services.  Susan loved watching Wheel of Fortune, listening to live music and playing cards and trivia games with her family and friends.  She also had a love for animals, especially cats.

Survivors include her daughter, Katelyn Schaff; son, Riley Schaff; mother, Doris Samuels; brothers, Dale Samuels and Dana Samuels; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friends, Tammy Lively-Warner and Elizabeth Thompson-Miller.

She was preceded in death by her father and an infant child.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, Jefferson Street Chapel, 414 W. Jefferson St., Kokomo, with Pastor Bobby Carter officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Susan’s memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Kokomo Humane Society.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
