Steven Chandler Obituary

Steven Alexander Chandler, 24, passed away September 23, 2019, at his home.  He was born May 4, 1995, in Kokomo, the son of Jeffrey & Jean (Rogers) Chandler.  On April 5, 2014, he married Dixie Davis, and she survives.

Steven graduated from Eastern High School.  He served with the United States Army with the A-1-79 1st Platoon “Reapers” and attained the rank of SPC.  Steven worked for Kokomo Auto World as a salesman.  He loved playing his guitar, playing video games, and was a big Red Sox fan.

Along with his wife, Dixie, Steven is survived by his parents, Jeffrey & Jean Chandler; children, Lantz, Gabriel, Adalayna, and Scarlett Chandler; sister, Sarah Chandler; grandmother, Loretta Chandler; niece, Carlee; and nephews, Jonah, Devin, and Axel.

Steven was preceded in death by his sister, Allison Chandler; and grandfather, Thomas Chandler Sr.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Jason Grant officiating.  Military honors will be provided by the United States Army and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team.  Private burial will take place at a later date.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-6 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
