Stephen J. Brenton

Stephen J. Brenton, 58, Russiaville, passed away at 5:00 pm Friday, March 1, 2019, at his home.  He was born April 16, 1960, in Kokomo, the son of Dale & Sybil (Swinford) Brenton. 

Stephen was a 1978 graduate of Western High School.  He was employed with Haynes International, and was a member of the Harrison Township Volunteer Fire Department where he served as chief for several years. 

Stephen is survived by his mother, Sybil Broo; brother, Jeffery (Donna) Brenton; nephew, Gregory S. (Kim) Brenton; great-niece and nephew, Charlotte Brenton, and James Brenton; uncle, William Fredrick Brenton; and aunt, Suzanne Blaydes.

Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Dale Brenton; grandparents, David and Frances Brenton, and Ronald and Esther Swinford.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 9, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Stan Zurcher officiating.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9-11 am Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Stephen’s memory to the Harrison Township Fire Department.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
