Stanley Ginda, 55, Kokomo, passed away at 4:00 am Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born September 9, 1963, in Kokomo, the son of Paul & Patricia Rose Mary (Wright) Ginda.
Stanley graduated with honors from Western High School in 1982, where he won many awards for his art and photography. He attended Purdue University. Stanley retired September 12, 2018, as a self-employed brick mason after 30 years of service. He worked as a DJ, a land surveyor in Florida, and in the photography studio at the Indianapolis 500 during racing season. He loved photography, art, and cooking, along with camping, and spending time with family, especially his grandson Alexander. Stanley was a member of the ACLU, loved politics, and was a reenactor for “Feast of the Hunter’s Moon”.
Stanley is survived by his daughter, Kira (Rick) Hughes; grandson, Alexander Hughes; father, Paul Ginda; siblings, John Ginda (Patricia Petersen), and Ann Ginda (Chris Stanton); niece, Anastasia (Danny) Walter, and her son, Johnny Walter; nephew, Michael Ginda (Nick Melloan-Ruiz); and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Stanley was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Rose Mary Ginda.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Rev. Fr. Matthew Arbuckle officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11-1 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
