Shirley Ann (Genung) McIndoo

Shirley Ann (Genung) McIndoo, of Kokomo, passed peacefully November 13, 2019. Born September 1, 1936 in Terre Haute, Shirley married Walter McIndoo in 1956 and relocated to Kokomo the same year. Walt and Shirley were active members of the Center Road Church of Christ and have been active in the Kokomo community for over 60 years.

She is survived by her husband Walter; daughters, Nancy Periman of Olathe, KS and Susan McLaughlin of Atlanta, GA; as well as ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Francis (Rudisel) Genung; siblings, Nancy Hargis and Jackie Genung; and their son, Tim McIndoo.  

Funeral services celebrating Shirley’s life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 2019 at Center Road Church of Christ, 899 West 300 South, Kokomo, with Lynn Brust, Micah Powless, and Don McLaughlin officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s association.
