Ronald Gill Obituary

Ronald T. “Ron” Gill, 81, Kokomo, passed away at 11:11 pm Thursday June 7, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 15, 1936, in Chicago, IL, the son of the late William John Gill and Jessi Annella Smith. In Chicago on February 11, 1956, Ron married Lois Bystrom, who survives.

Ron graduated from Chicago’s Morgan Park High School. He went on to earn his BA degree in Business Administration from Valparaiso University. After 39 years of service at Delco Electronics Ron retired in 1997 as Vice President of Operations and Integrated Supply. Upon retirement, he founded the Renewal and Transformation Group (RTG, LLC)—a leadership and organization development consulting company.

Ron participated in numerous organizations throughout his life including the Kokomo JayCee’s, Bonavista, YMCA, PAL football league, Kokomo Country Club, Howard Community Hospital Board of Directors, Singapore American Club, and Singapore American School Board of Governors. Ron was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church.  He was an avid golfer, a diehard republican, and he truly loved his family.

Ron believed that charity started at home with family, church, and community. Along with his wife, Lois, Ron is also survived by his children, Laurie (Tim) Henninger, Kokomo, Scott Gill (Lora Veach Meyer), Indianapolis, Pamela Gill, Coatesville, and Stephen (Linda) Gill, Kokomo; grandchildren, JoAnna Rodriguez, Amy (Joe) Ellis, Timothy (Meghan) Henninger II, Sarah (Pete) Graham, Johnathan Gill, Grace (Zach) McNulty, and Cameron Gill, Andrew and Kelli Gill, and Nick Sottong; great-grandchildren, Carlos, Austin, and Dominic Rodriguez; William, Noah, and Charlotte Henninger; Logan Graham; and, Benjamin McNulty; siblings, William John (Phyllis) Gill Jr., Virginia Ruth (Jerry) Gill Smith, and Larry (Kitty) Gill, sister-in-law, Marilyn Gill along with numerous nieces and nephews.
