Robert Wayne “Pops” Dillman, Jr., 74, Kokomo, passed away at 12:19 p.m. on Monday, November 25, 2019, at his home. He was born July 8, 1945, in Howard County, to Robert W. and Ida (Shuck) Dillman.
Robert graduated from Northwestern High School in 1964 and went on to serve in the United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1969. He served three tours in Vietnam and attained the rank of Corporal. Robert worked as a pipefitter for Mikell Construction, in Kissimmee, Florida, and also worked in construction throughout Indiana. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, was a member of the APA Pool League and had served as past commander of VFW Post 1152.
He is survived by his son, Bryan Dillman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Dillman and Ida Wolfe, and his sister, Karon Lea Dillman.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at Marion National Cemetery, with military honors provided by the United States Marine Corps and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team.
