Robert "Bob" L. Jones

Robert “Bob” L. Jones, 78, Kokomo, passed away at 7:02 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis.  He was born September 7, 1940, in Evansville, to Melvin M. Jones and Helen (Mills) Cook. On June 26, 1965, in Evansville, he married Sandra (Blandford) Jones, and she survives.

Bob graduated from North High School in Evansville. He retired in 2001 from Warrick Operations in Newburgh after more than 25 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. While enlisted, he was an Airman First Class and was nominated Airman of the year.

He is survived by his wife of Kokomo; son, Andrew Lamble and wife Christy of Kokomo; son, Gregory Jones and wife Heather of St. Joseph Michigan; grandchildren, Michael, Alex, Taylor, and Katlynn Lamble, and Ethan and Brandon Jones; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Larry Jones and wife Dee of Laverda, TX; and a brother, Donald Jones and wife Beverly of Evansville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Hendricks.
