On Wednesday, October 2, 2019, at 10:20 a.m., Richard “Rick” Cox, Jr., 57, Kokomo, loving son, brother, uncle, and partner, passed away peacefully in his sleep from a short, but brave, battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born December 11, 1961, in San Diego, California, to Richard and Barbara Cox.
Rick had worked at Kirklands, Kohls, and Williams Shoes, as a chef at Jefferson Manor and also as a bartender. He loved to garden, travel, cook and make people laugh. He was always full of humor.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara (Cox) Conway, of Kokomo; J.R. Barks, of Kokomo; siblings, Cheryl Finch, of Bend, Oregon, Steven Cox, of Texas, and Janean (Barry) Young, of Noblesville; sister-in-law and best friend, Donna Cox, of California; step-sisters, Lisa and Missy, of Kentucky; step-brother, David, of Kentucky; nephews, Christopher, of California, and Andrew (Stephanee) Cox, of Texas; nieces, Jessica, Michelle and Karen, of California, and Kortni (Brandon) Raber, of Greenwood; and his two beloved animals, Dolly and Luna.
