Randall VanCamp Obituary

Randall S. “Randy” VanCamp, 50, Kokomo and Virginia Beach, passed away at 7:48 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2018, in Kokomo.  He was born May 28, 1968, in Bluffton, and was the son of Francis and Trisha (Farmer) VanCamp and Patricia (Fiechter) Pommer. 

Randy graduated from Eastern High School in 1986 and attended Indiana Business College.  He served thirteen years in the United States Navy and had worked for SPAWAR as a network engineer since 2000.  He enjoyed reading, traveling, being a foodie, movies, hanging out with friends and gaming. 

He is survived by his mother, Trisha VanCamp; siblings, Tami Schafer, Lori (Heath) Haalck and Chad (Chanteal) VanCamp; mother, Patricia Pommer; siblings, Craig (Andrea) Pommer, Casey Pommer and Chris (Shilo) Pommer; grandparents, Rosalie Maddox, and Herman and Phyllis Fiechter; and several nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Francis VanCamp; sister, Michelle VanCamp McCarthy; brother, Jeremy Gallaway; and grandparents, Francis and Mary Ann VanCamp. 

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Chris Duncan officiating.  Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Garden Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Kokomo VFW Military Rites Team.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10 a.m. to Noon on Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Randy’s memory to the Hope Through the Storm #122 for the American Cancer Society.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
