Paulette (Morris) Bailey

Paulette Bailey, 76, Kokomo, went to her heavenly home at 2:40 pm Saturday, January 11, 2020, with family by her side. She was born March 13, 1943, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Paul James & Beulah Marie (Ennis) Morris.  On May 11, 2013, she married Elbert E. Bailey who preceded her in death on May 21, 2013. 

Paulette was a 1962 graduate of Kokomo High School.  She retired in 1997 as a secretary from Delco Electronics after 30 years of service. She also attended IUK School of Nursing. Paulette was a devoted mom and grandma. She loved spending time with her family, friends, and her fur babies, Max & Mollie. She was a wonderful cook, she loved gardening, and enjoyed working with Yorkie Rescue. She had a caregiver’s heart. 

Paulette was the beloved mom of Todd Abbott, Brenda Abbott, Lisa Sines, and Jonathan (Missy) Sines; grandma of Anthony (Lindsay) Abbott, Alyssa Menovcik, Nathan (Geneva) Menovcik, Shaley Sines, Tyler Sines, and Johnny Shutt; great-grandma of Ethan Abbott and Travis Andersen; sister of Nancy Cheever and Judy Evans; aunt to many special nieces and nephews. 

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Rose Gallegos.

The family would like to thank the Community Oncology Center in Kokomo and Guardian Angel Hospice for the exceptional care they provided.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, with Chaplain Douglas Slack officiating.  Burial will follow in North Union Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1-3 Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Paulette's memory to Guardian Angel Hospice.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
