Nancy Ann (Ashcraft) McKibban, 77, Indianapolis, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Kokomo, Indiana, to Amos and Mary (Simpson) Ashcraft.
Nancy graduated from Western High School in 1958. She was a cheerleader, a member of the marching band, and active in both 4-H and her local church youth group. Nancy lived most of her adult life in Indianapolis working for Dow Chemical Company before retiring in 1997. Upon retirement, she found pleasure in her grandchildren, friends, and travel. Her favorite people called her “Granny”. Nancy was a proud member of Sweet Adelines International Capital City Chorus since 1993. She loved being able to travel, compete, and perform with these ladies around the country.
Survivors include her son Todd (Lisa) McKibban, Indianapolis; daughter Tammy (Dave) Dickmeyer, Roanoke; grandchildren Holley (Nick) Doucette, Kelley Dickmeyer, Jackie (Mike) Sidener, Max Dickmeyer, Eric McKibban, and great-grandson Noah Doucette.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Burgess Ashcraft, and sister Dorothy Brovont.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at New London Friends Church, 2104 S. 766 W, Russiaville, IN, with Pastor Jason Grant officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12-3 p.m. at the church. There will be a private family burial at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nancy’s memory to the I.U. Simon Cancer Center, Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Ft. Wayne, or the New London Friends Church.
