Michael A. Parkey

Michael A. Parkey, 65, Kokomo, passed away at 10:45 am on Friday, October 4, 2019, at Howard Regional Hospital-Kokomo. He was born November 13, 1953 to Thomas Parkey and Hazel Fife in Kokomo.

Michael is a retired cook from Breakfast House after many years of service. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a big “movie buff,” as he enjoyed movie trivia, watching classic movies, as well as listening to the Beatles.

Survivors include his son, Jonathan Parkey; mother, Hazel Fife Parkey; sister, Linda (Otho) Williams; aunt, Betty (Ross) Smith; cousins, Elizabeth (Harold) Ingersoll, Andrew Smith, and Daniel Smith.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Parkey.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 332 Center Rd., Kokomo, with Bishop Dennis Marler officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11 to 1 pm Wednesday at the church before the service.
