Max Powell Obituary

Max D. Powell, 74, Windfall passed away at his home at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2019. He was born in Howard County, Indiana on February 25, 1945 to Raymond and Gladys (Ratcliff) Powell.

He graduated from Western High School in 1963. He served in the United States Army. Max had worked at Chrysler Corporation retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local #685, He was an avid bicycle rider and photographer. He loved his dog and his family. 

He is survived by his brother, Donald (Sue) Powell, S. Carolina, nieces and nephews; Katrina (Brian) Lavengood, S. Carolina, Chip Powell, Sharpsville, Sherry (Bill) Webb, Florida, Raymond "Jeff" (Sandy) Powell, Greentown and D.J. Powell, S. Carolina. Great nieces and nephews; Amanda Weaver, Kara Pogue, Amy DeVoss, Jullian McNaught, John Hillman, Jeff Hillman, Jordan Powell, A.J. Powell and Addie Yager.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister in law, Wayne and Faye Powell and great niece, Michelle DeRossett.

Visitation for family and friends will be Saturday from Noon until 2:00 p.m. at Stout and Son Funeral Home 200 E. Main Street Russiaville. Funeral services will follow visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Eric Roemer officiating. Burial will follow the service in Russiaville Cemetery, Russiaville with military rites by the American Legion Post #317. 

The family request that memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Kokomo.
