LaVina Rose (Booram) Longwith

LaVina Rose Longwith, 91, Kokomo, passed away at 2:27 am Saturday, June 15, 2019, at her granddaughter Starla’s house.  She was born April 15, 1928, in Indianapolis, the daughter of the late Roger & Cuba (Kinder) Booram.

LaVina graduated from Thomas Howe High School in Indianapolis and attended Butler University.  She retired in 1993 from Delco Electronics.

LaVina is survived by her children, Robert (Cathy) Longwith, Kokomo, and Nina (Marvin) Pedersen, Fresno, California; grandchildren, Amber Longwith, Kokomo, James Longwith, Mishawaka,  Starla Hale, Kokomo, Roger (Naiara) Williams, Kokomo, Nathan (Chantiel) Pedersen, Fresno, California, and Erik (Jen) Pedersen, Fort Riley, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Adrian Hale, Isis Rose, Sydnie Davis, Daniel Pedersen, Enzo Williams, Adrianna Pedersen, Natalie Pedersen, and Isla  Pedersen; brother, David (Marlene) Booram, Indianapolis; and nephew, David (Beth) Booram, Indianapolis.

LaVina was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Robin Campbell; and brother, Roger Lee Booram.

The family would like to thank Starla for taking such good care of her grandmother in her home for the last two months. 

Graveside service will be held at Noon Thursday, June 20, 2019, in Memorial Park Cemetery, 9350 E. Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN 46229.  Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with arrangements.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
