Kent Alan Booher

Kent Alan Booher, 57, Kokomo, passed away Friday, August 9, 2019.  He was born October 17, 1961, in Decatur, Illinois, the son of Clyde Arthur & Ida Jean (Churchill) Booher.

Kent was a graduate of Eisenhower High School.  He served with the United States Air Force from 1983-1992, earning the rank of SSgt.  Kent was founder and president of K. B. Backflow, Inc.  He was very involved with Kokomo Alcoholics Anonymous and had coached Northwestern’s Volleyball team for several years.  Kent enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. 

Kent is survived by his mother, Jean Booher; children, Margaret (Matthew) Holtman, Emily Booher, Kamryn Booher, and Gabriel Booher; grandchildren, Isaac Holtman, and Eleanor Holtman; siblings, Julie (Rick) Hettinger, Craig (Jill) Booher, and Lydia (Kevin) Spain, along with several nieces and nephews.

Kent was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Arthur Booher; and a nephew.  

A memorial service will be held at Noon Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo, with Pastor Paul Weaver officiating.  Friends may visit with the family from 10-12 pm Saturday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for his children with checks made out to National Financial Services with Kamyrn and Gabriel in the memo line.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
