Judith Diane “Judy” or “Ju Ju” Turner, 58, Kokomo, passed away at 9:12 am Monday, January 6, 2020, at her home. She was born June 10, 1961, in Kokomo, the daughter of the late Donald E. & Carolyn Sue (Underhill) McCord.
Judy was a 1979 graduate of Haworth High School. She retired in 2017 from IDI Lumber Yard after 30 years of service. She loved and enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Judy was involved with the Great Banquet Community and loved serving and attending Fuel Church. She loved the outdoors and activities like gardening and mushroom hunting. Judy was the most loving, generous women and a blessing to all who knew her.
Judy is survived by her children, Reed McCord Turner, and Chelsea Claire Turner; grandchildren, Easton McCord Turner, Jansen Lucas Fuller, and Emma Claire Fuller; sisters, Marta Moss, and Beth (Kevin) Green; nieces and nephews, Kory Green, Jessica Cardwell, Andrew Cardwell, Mollie Green, Keri Hedrick, David Hedrick, Lindsay Petri, John Petri, and Noah Petri; great-nieces and great-nephews, Tinleigh Cardwell, Hailey Hedrick, Maycie Hedrick, Brooklynn Petri, and Madelynn Petri.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents; former in laws, Arlene and Gene Turner; and aunt, Darlene Taylor “aunt Leen” whom she was caretaker for her last years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 11, 2020, at First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 2000 W. Jefferson Street, with Pastor Jerry Van Auken officiating. Friends are invited to visit Noon – 2 pm Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
