Johnny Lee Davis Jr. a former resident of Indianapolis and long-time resident of Kokomo, Indiana died unexpectedly on February 6, 2019. He was 44 years old.


Johnny was born on August 23, 1974 in Kirkwood, Missouri. His career included many different occupations, including being a Deputy Sherriff for Marion County Sherriff Dept., but most recently he was a Sales Rep for Frito Lay Inc. He and his wife Jennifer enjoyed 25 years of marriage. He was passionate about his family, his dogs, and his sports especially the Colts and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was most proud of the things his 4 children are accomplishing in their lives. He has 2 daughters that serve in the military. One is an active Marine and the other is a former Indiana Army National Guardsman. He has another daughter both graduating from Purdue University in May 2019 and getting married in May 2019. He also has a son that is talented in baseball and football and equally brilliant in his studies. John also loved having his extended family around for every holiday tradition.


Johnny Lee is survived by his wife Jennifer(Long) Davis, four children Brittney Straughn and husband Mitchell Straughn, Halie Davis and fiancé Donovan Cerbone, Courtney Wood and husband Brandon Wood, and Jordan Davis. He is also survived by his parents Johnnie Lee Davis Sr, Kathryn and Steve Sherman, his 3 three grandchildren Taylor, Tori, and Teagan Straughn whom is due in April, his sister Michelle Merritt and husband Steve, brother William and wife Wendi as well as 3 nieces, 2 nephews, 3 great nieces, 1 great nephew and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Johnny was preceded in death by grandparents Clifford and Evelyn Patterson, Carter and Verda Davis, Father-In-Law Roy Long as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Visitation  for Johnny will be  from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Monday, February 11, 2019, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1315 W Lincoln Road, Kokomo, Indiana.
