John D. Shook

John D. Shook, 58, Kokomo, passed away at 10:17 am Thursday, December 12, 2019, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.  He was born January 26, 1961, in Greensburg, Indiana, the son of the late Donald Paul & Nancy Jean (VanBriggle) Shook. 

John is survived by his children, Heather Shook, Holly (Eric) Adams, John (Felicia) Shook, and Krystal (Shane) Ruble; grandchildren, Estrella, Caleb, Kaitlyn, Kaden, and Blake; siblings, Larry (Tara) Shook, and Donna (Jim) Runkle; nieces, Carissa Reed Douglas, Tammy Shook Pearce, Tero Shook McCartney, Emily Shook Martin, and Olivia Shook; nephews, Josiah Reed, Jeremy Reed, and Michael Spinner, along with several great-nieces and great-nephews. 

John was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Margaret Shook; and grandparents, many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

A memorial gathering will be held from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm Tuesday, January 14, 2019, at Fairfield Christian Church, 1476 E. 400 S., Kokomo.   Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
