James B. Stout

James B. Stout, 76, Kokomo, passed away peacefully at his home Monday, January 28, 2019. He was born July 8, 1942 in Bruceville, IN to Kenneth Asa and Mary Naomi (Tester) Stout. On June 6, 1965 he married Linda Kay Markwith who survives.

James was a longtime member of the Eagles where he served twice as president as well as secretary and trustee. He was proud to be a veteran and served in the United States Army and was a member of the Kokomo VFW. James also enjoyed being the family photographer and family genealogist.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Linda Stout; and brother, Charles Dwight Stout; as well as many nieces, nephews, and god children.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Betty (Stout) Williams.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday March 22, 2019 at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 West Lincoln Road. Burial will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
