James L. Inman

James L. Inman, 87, of West Lafayette, passed away at 1 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2019, at the Indiana Veterans Home. He was born on August 30, 1932, in Green County, Indiana, to Roy and Nellie (Fields) Inman. On May 16, 1959, James married Sharon Rose DeWeese, and she passed away on December 28, 2015.

James was a 1950 Switz City High School graduate and was with the Air Force for 43 years as an Instructor. He loved fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his step son, Rick (Paula Earl) Burge; siblings, Janet, Marilyn and Jerry; and two grandchildren, Jessica Kerby and Sherry Lundsford.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Nellie Inman; sister, Jane Wendell; and step daughter-in-law, Caren Davis.

A graveside service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery in Frankfort on Friday, October 11, 2019, at 11 a.m. with military honors. Stout & Son Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.  Online condolences may be left at www.stoutandson.com.
