James Michael Feazel, 75, Kokomo, passed away at 6:20 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, at Riverview Health in Noblesville. He was born November 26, 1943, in Ft. Wayne, to Herbert M. and Elizabeth “Betty” (Smith) Feazel. On November 29, 1964, he married Norma J. Durr, at the First United Methodist Church in Marion, and she survives.
James graduated from Marion High School in 1961 and attended Ball State University. He worked as a meat cutter at his family’s grocery store, Mike’s IGA, in retail sales at Big R and owned and operated his own residential painting company. James was an outdoorsman and loved camping. He also enjoyed home remodeling. He was a member of the Bunker Hill Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his wife, Norma Feazel, he is survived by two sons, Joseph (Stacey) Feazel and Thomas (Jo Ellen) Feazel; grandsons, Jacob Feazel, Chad Feazel, Drew Feazel and Colin Feazel; sister, Jean Ann (Terry) Hill; nieces and nephews, Sandy Hill Shouse, Holly Hill Smith, Michael Ambler and Ronnie Ambler; and his beloved dog, Daisy Mae.
He was preceded in death by his parents and twin infant sons, Jack and Jon Feazel.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 3, 2018, at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Rd., Kokomo, with Pastor Phil Cruea officiating. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery in Bunker Hill. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
