James Brown Obituary

James Dale Brown, 93, Kokomo, passed away at 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at Blair Ridge Health Campus in Peru. He was born May 6, 1926, in Tazewell, Virginia, the son of the late Wyndum Kadale Brown and Minnie Dallas (Allen) Reed.

James retired from Haynes Stellite in 1982 after 31 years of service. He enjoyed playing pool with leagues in Kokomo and Peru.

He is survived by his daughter, Monica D. Rayl of Kokomo; granddaughter, Elizabeth Ashley Gaddis and husband Nik of Kokomo; also, two great-granddaughters, Nevaeh Elizabeth Fouce, and Shelby Rose Gaddis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, William, John, Doud, Daniel, and Vester Stout; and one sister, Ella Mae Stout.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children in memory of James. Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory assisted the family with cremation. Messages of condolence may be left online at www.shirleyandstout.com.
