Gary W. Clover, 63, Kokomo, passed away at 5:40 am Monday, June 4, 2018, as the result of an accident. He was born May 27, 1955, in Murphysboro, IL, the son of Billy & Polly (Casey) Clover. On August 29, 2009, he married Bethann Hoover and she survives.
Gary was a 1973 graduate of Taylor High School. He was the first boy to attend home-eck at Taylor, a drummer in the school band, and a pole vaulter. Gary went on to graduate in 1975 from Shawnee Community College. He retired as owner and operator of Clover Excavating & Trucking, and after retirement he worked for Wolfe Installation. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and riding his Harley “Old Blue”.
Along with his wife Bethann, Gary is also survived by his mother, Polly Clover; children, Julianne Pasquale, Taylor Harrison, Jennifer Williams-Kendall, and Trent Allen Brown, along with 18 grandchildren; and brother, Ronnie (Jackie) Clover; a niece, Carrie (Bo) Walters; and his first wife, Jan (Britt) Clover.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Billy Clover; granddaughter, Isabella Pasquale; nephew, Courtney Clover; and beloved pet, “Casey”.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Morning Star Church, 2900 East Markland Ave., Kokomo, with Pastor Jeff Evans officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1-3 pm Saturday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made in Gary’s memory to Shirley & Stout Funeral Home to assist the family with final expenses.
