Freeman Fox Sr. Obituary

Freeman Fox Sr., 86, Forest, passed away at 11:45 am Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at his home.  He was born December 28, 1931, in Cassity, W. Virginia, the son of the late James H. & Edna (Hile) Fox.  He was married to Loella (Carter) Fox who preceded him in death. On December 31, 1988, he married Dorothy Chester who preceded him in death July 2, 2003. 

Freeman served with the United States Army during the Korean War.  He retired from Steel Parts in Tipton after 36 years of service.  Freeman was a member of the Frankfort VFW and the Tipton American Legion. 

Freeman is survived by his children, Freeman F. Jr. (Pamela) Fox,  Carolyn L. (Chris) Ward, and Freida K. (Don) Hinshaw; grandchildren, Amy (Brent) Dechert, Jason Amos, and Shannon (Jeff) Linville; great-grandchildren, Keara Dechert, Mara Dechert, Derrek Drahn, Sabrina Amos, and Savanna Amos.

Freeman was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 3 brothers; 3 sisters; and grandson, Dillon Drahn.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral, 200 E. Main Street, Russiaville.  Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Windfall, with military honors provided by the United States Army and the Frankfort VFW Military Rites Team.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 11-1 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Freeman’s memory to the Kokomo Humane Society.  Messages of condolence may be left online at www.stoutandson.com.
