Frances J. Renshaw, 80, Kokomo, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019, at her home. She was born October 27, 1938, in Vernon, Texas, the daughter of the late Wilbur D. & Grace Elaine (Hayes) Johnson. On February 7, 1959, she married Jerry Renshaw, who preceded her in death on January 13, 1998.
Frances was a 1957 graduate of Kokomo High School. She had worked for Stiner’s Photography Shop and was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. Frances loved photography, drawing, and anything antique. She was an artist, and a master seamstress.
Frances is survived by her children, David (Barbara) Renshaw, Jackie (Chris McGill) Renshaw, John Renshaw, Jill Osman, and Angie (Adam) Groninger; grandchildren, Jordan (Cody) Shafer, Hayden Renshaw, Sydney Renshaw, Brinna Rollins, Elle Duncan, Chloe Groninger, Evan Groninger, and Olivia Groninger; and brothers, Jerry (Maureen) Johnson, and John Johnson.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Michael Renshaw; granddaughter, Isabelle Groninger; and son-in-law, Vince Osman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday, July 12, 2019, at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 3155 S. 200 W., Kokomo, with Rev. Fr. Matthew Arbuckle the celebrant. Burial will follow in Kokomo Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 4-8 pm Thursday at Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory, 1315 W. Lincoln Road, Kokomo where the Rosary will be offered at 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made in Frances’ memory to the Monastery of the Poor Clares, 1175 N. 300 W., Kokomo.
