Frances Sue Kirby, 77, Bunker Hill, passed away at 7:20 pm Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at her home. She was born July 10, 1941, in Russiaville, the daughter of the late Ralph & Lavene (Zerby) Colwell. She married Jake Kirby Sr. who preceded her in death.
Sue was a 1959 graduate of Western High School. She worked for Hewitt Tool and Die for 10 years. Sue managed The Depot in Russiaville, worked at RT Pizza, and the Farr Place Restaurant. Sue was a member of Main Street Christian Church where she sang in the choir and served as church custodian. She was an avid Cubs fan, and loved watching her grandchildren sporting events.
Sue is survived by her sons, Dan (Becky) Wolf, Jake (Nancy) Kirby, Jeremy Kirby, and Joseph (Becky) Kirby; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Martha (Kent) Milburn and Marilyn (Jim) Soblotne.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Bill Wolf; grandchildren, Alex Shipp and Charlotte Kirby; and sisters, Barbara Colwell and Jean (Paul) Tacket.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Friday, June 14, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Pastor Jim Soblotne officiating. Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12-3 pm Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sue memory to the Main Street Christian Church Choir.
