Donna M. (Phillips) Morris

Donna M. Morris, 64, Russiaville, passed away at 6:27 am Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Indiana University Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.  She was born March 31, 1954, in Stuttgart, Germany, the daughter of John L. & Ruth (Thrasher) Phillips.  On December 28, 1974, she married Marlin R. Morris and he survives.

Donna graduated from Northwest High School in Indianapolis.  She earned her Registered Nursing degree from St. Elizabeth Nursing School in Lafayette.  She later earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University at Kokomo.  Her nursing career at Howard Community Hospital and the Howard County Health Department spanned nearly 40 years. She was a member of Forest United Methodist Church.

Donna spent her life serving and caring for others.  Her passions were nursing and her family.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her 6 grandchildren, whether it be reading books, playing games, or watching them compete on athletic fields.

Along with her husband Marlin, Donna is survived by her parents, John & Ruth Phillips; sons, David (Richelle) Morris, and Matthew (Ashley) Morris; grandchildren, Mason, Dylan, Parker, Colt, Katryn, and Emery Morris; siblings, John Jr (Beth) Phillips, Craig (Lisa) Phillips, Renate (Doug) Hayes, and Regina (Lester) Dalton, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Monday, January 14, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 East Main Street, Russiaville, with Rev. John Young officiating.  Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery.  Friends are invited to visit with the family from 2-6 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
