Dolores A. Taylor, 94, Kokomo, formerly of Russiaville, passed away at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at North Woods Village in Kokomo. She was born March 31, 1925, in Middlefork, to Basil R. and Helen (Hill) Johnson. On January 4, 1945, she married Ira Junior Taylor, and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2015.
Dolores graduated from Forest High School in 1942 and worked in the office at J.C. Penney’s in Logansport. She enjoyed working outside and with flowers and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Janis Ann Buckner, Russiaville, and Ted L. (Tina) Taylor, Greenfield; grandchildren, Sherri (Jay) Miller, Duane Buckner, Trent (Becky) Taylor and Tara (Paul) Viosca; great-grandchildren, Preston Taylor, Garrett Taylor and Xander Beck; sister, Carolyn Hobbs; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one great-granddaughter, Kylie Miller; sisters, Reba Carter, Helen Laughner and Colleen Pearson; and brother, Basil Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Stout & Son Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St., Russiaville. Burial will follow in Russiaville Cemetery.
